Lucid joins OEM1Stop to provide one-stop body repair information access

Published on September 12, 2025

Lucid is now part of OEM1Stop’s online resource of OEM repair procedures and information, bringing the total number of participating automakers to 43.

The site now includes links to Lucid’s position statements, collision and mechanical repair Tech Info Portals, and the Approved Body Repair Program site. The collision and mechanical sites require subscriptions to access. Approved body repair information is only available to Lucid Approved Body Repair Program members by invitation; however, shops can apply for the program at the OEM1Stop link.

“Lucid joined OEMOneStop to make it easier for repairers, insurers, and industry stakeholders to find accurate information directly from the source,” said Devin Wilcox, Lucid’s Body Repair Program operations senior manager. “As the Lucid Body Repair network grows, accessibility to OEM repair procedures and certification details is critical to ensuring vehicles are repaired safely and to Lucid standards. Being part of this platform puts Lucid alongside other OEMs in a trusted, centralized resource, which reinforces our commitment to supporting the collision industry, protecting Lucid owners, and ensuring an optimal collision repair experience.”

Lucid repairers will also soon have access to a checklist that will guide shops on handling total loss vehicles before they’re sent to salvage yards.

For example, Lucid Body Repair Technical Team Manager Matthew Pitta said at the Collision Industry Conference (CIC) July meeting that the best option is to always put an EV on a flatbed by itself. The vehicle’s heater can be turned on to drain high-voltage batteries as long as there are no Class 2 diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) present.

If there are Class 2 DTCs, a Lucid field tech would need to come and remove the battery pack, then use a tool to deenergize the battery. Lucid hopes to eventually provide the tool in tool packs to shops, Pitta said.

The total loss checklist has been drafted and is under review with Lucid’s body repair team.

Lucid also recently became the newest corporate member of the Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS).

An SCRS press release states that Lucid’s membership underscores the company’s “commitment to supporting collision repair efforts in advancing safe, high-quality collision repair through collaboration and industry engagement.”

“Lucid joins SCRS with a clear vision: to strengthen the connection between OEMs and the collision repair community,” the release states. “By engaging with repair professionals, suppliers, and industry stakeholders, Lucid seeks to ensure that evolving repair standards and processes reflect real-world challenges faced by body shops.”

Wilcox added, “At Lucid, we recognize that collision repair is not just a technical process — it’s a brand experience for our customers. By joining SCRS, we’re aligning with an organization that shares our values of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement. We believe that real progress happens when OEMs, repairers, and industry advocates work together to elevate standards and support the professionals performing these complex repairs. Our goal is to be an active participant in these conversations and ensure our certified network is equipped to deliver the safest, highest-quality repairs possible.”

By participating in SCRS, Lucid will contribute its OEM perspective to critical industry discussions on repairability, technician support, and training, the release says.

“Being part of SCRS allows us to listen, learn, and support the collective goal of raising the bar for safe, high-quality collision repair across the industry,” Wilcox said.

SCRS Executive Director Aaron Schulenburg welcomed the addition.

“We are excited to have Lucid join as a corporate member,” he said. “Their participation reflects the growing importance of OEM engagement in shaping the future of our industry, and we look forward to the insight and collaboration they bring to the SCRS community.”
