Three refinish manufacturers share technical updates

AkzoNobel, Axalta, and BASF have provided updates to their refinish technical pages.

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) shared the updates at its April open board meeting.

Each company’s update is linked here, including an automotive refinishing fundamentals booklet from BASF.

Updates include best practices for denib, sand, and polish; bonded glass; flex additive; basecoat and clearcoat blending; and plastic bumper color match procedures, as well as several others, plus ADAS considerations.
