High-voltage (HV) vehicles have some special considerations for handling and storing HV batteries and other components. The dangers of HV batteries are potential even after removal which is why certain precautions are needed.

This series explores where to locate OEM recommendations provided in vehicle-specific repair manuals. Battery handling and storage considerations may include space within the collision repair facility, shipping, tools, placards and personal protective equipment (PPE). Always follow special precautions especially when HV systems are involved.
