Bosch Diagnostics updates scan tool software for 2026 vehicle models

Bosch Diagnostics has updated its scan tool software to include 2026 vehicle models, while also expanding coverage on 2024 and 2025 models, according to a recent press release. 

The updates happened on Sept. 10 for the 6.11 version and on Aug. 13 for the 6.12 version of the Bosch ADS X series scan tool. The updates include nearly 6,000 new special tests and 450 system applications, along with enhanced ADAS calibration capabilities, the release says. 

“As newer, more complex vehicles make their way into repair bays, keeping diagnostic tools up-to-date is more important than ever to ensure shops can serve their customers quickly and effectively,” said Danijela Haskin, Bosch Diagnostics lead product manager, in the release. “By continuously expanding coverage and adding capabilities to our scan tools, we’re giving technicians the information they need to diagnose and repair a wider range of vehicles, helping them stay ahead of the curve in meeting customers’ needs.” 

The ADS X software updates include: 

    • Full access to Volkswagen Group’s Security Function Diagnostic (SFD) system for 2023 and 2024 vehicles. 
    • Diagnostics and service for supported Stellantis platforms, such as the two-step process for Stellantis Security Gateway unlock. 
    • Diagnostic trouble code (DTC), data support, and bi-directional controls for Chevrolet and GMC. 
    • Expanded ADAS calibrations for 2024-2026 models from Fiat, Volkswagen, RAM, Chevrolet, and GMC. 

The expanded ADAS calibrations for the 6.12 version include: 

    • 2026 coverage for the Chevrolet Equinox, Silverado 1500, Trailblazer, and Traverse, and the GMC Sierra 1500 and Terrain. 
    • 2025 coverage for the Fiat 500e and Ram 2500, 3500, 4500, and 5500. 
    • 2024 and older coverage for the Fiat 500e and Volkswagen Jetta. 

The expanded ADAS calibrations for the 6.11 version update include: 

    • 2026 coverage for the Honda CR-V and HR-V. 
    • 2025 coverage for the GMC Savanna 4500, Jeep Wrangler, Mazda MX5 Miata, Mitsubishi Wrangler, and Nissan Kicks Play. 
    • 2024 and older coverage of Audi for most advanced security models and functions, 2020–2024 Porsche Taycan, and Volkswagen for most advanced security models and functions. 

The scan tool software is updated monthly by Bosch, the release says. Bosch ADS X users with active subscriptions will receive updates automatically for installation.
