CIF, other industry organizations raising money for severely injured technician and family

The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF), Collision Advice, and Spartan 300 Group are raising money for an Arizona collision technician and his family of five who sustained severe, life-altering injuries from a January fire at their apartment.

According to CIF’s donation campaign page for the family, technician Jon Ledlow has been a valued member of the Fix Auto Tempe team since 2020 and is a Spartan 300 member. Nearly $9,000 had been raised as of Thursday afternoon.

“The Ledlows lost everything in the blaze, and several family members — including young children — are facing a long road of surgeries, skin grafts, and therapy ahead,” posted Mike Anderson, Collision Advice president, who asked the collision repair community to support the family on LinkedIn.

CIF launched a dedicated fundraising campaign for Ledlow and his family with a goal of $200,000. The campaign is open through Sept. 15.

“The Collision Industry Foundation (CIF) lent support shortly after the incident and has offered to work with Collision Advice and the Spartan 300 Group to create a special dedicated campaign for more direct relief to Jon and his family during this crisis,” CIF’s campaign page states. “Participation is entirely voluntary, but any donation or share of this post makes a world of difference.”

This year also marks CIF’s 25th anniversary. A CIF press release on the milestone states that the nonprofit organization has provided emergency relief to individuals and families following natural disasters and catastrophic events through financial and other means.
