Published on June 26, 2026

The Society of Collision Repair Specialists (SCRS) July open meeting will include presentations from KPA regulatory director and staff attorney for the Alliance of Automotive Service Providers of Illinois (AASPI).

The meeting will be held Tuesday, July 21 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center Hotel.

“SCRS invites industry professionals to attend this open meeting for updates on association initiatives, member programs, and key issues affecting the collision repair industry,” an SCRS press release states. “The event provides local businesses with a valuable opportunity to engage in a national-level discussion, hear directly from SCRS leadership, industry experts, and legislative voices, and join peers from across the country in conversations influencing the industry’s future.”

It adds that Zach Pucillo, KPA regulatory director, will address OSHA and environmental health and safety (EHS) issues that the collision repair industry commonly overlooks, as well as the ramifications of non-compliance.

KPA is a provider of EHS and workplace compliance software and services aimed at helping businesses identify, remedy, and prevent workplace safety and compliance problems.

“Pucillo brings specialized expertise in regulatory compliance and will share practical guidance to help shop owners and operators identify vulnerabilities and take proactive steps to protect their businesses and employees,” the release states.

Patrick McGuire, AASPI staff attorney, will also share association activity, including an overview of active advocacy efforts and their implications for repair businesses operating in the state.

AASPI, an SCRS affiliate association, has a long history of influencing state legislation. A current priority is AASPI’s right to appraisal bill.

“McGuire’s presentation will offer attendees a ground-level view of how advocacy work across the state is progressing and what the outcomes could mean for collision repairers in Illinois and beyond,” the release states.

The SCRS meeting is free to attend and open to all industry participants. Membership is not required and pre-registration is not necessary.

Seating is first-come, first served.
