BMW introduces STEP Connect website to help dealerships find technicans

BMW has rolled out a new website as a more effective way to connect dealers with Service Technician Education Program (STEP) technicians, according to an email it recently sent to its dealer network.
STEP is designed to teach aspiring BMW technicians to fill open positions at more than 400 BMW and MINI dealers in the U.S., according to the program’s website.
Students in the program earn $15 per hour while working to graduate at the certified level. Training centers are located in Riverside, California, and Woodliff Lake, New Jersey.
The new STEP Connect website will make it easier for BMW dealerships to connect with technicians who are graduating from the program. Authorized dealers can log in to the website here.
BMW’s email states that dealerships can use the website to post technician jobs, accept and manage applications from qualified candidates, search for technicians, and update and maintain a dealership profile page.
Technicians can search and explore technician job positions at BMW dealerships, easily apply to job opportunities that match their skills and interests, and search for dealerships in their area.
BMW offers a series of brief videos showing dealerships how to use the website.
